Official blurb: Dr. Suzanne Uhl is the visionary force behind Shannon Dean Collaborations, bringing over 40 years of unmatched expertise in communication. Her journey has been marked by her own victories over doubts and fears, and a deep commitment to empowering others toward freedom.
Beyond her role as a educator, Dr. Uhl is a international speaker, respected author and consultant. As a coach, she strives to guide individuals and groups to a place of empowerment and personal freedom, dealing with doubt and creating new mindsets. Her Ted talk and workbook, “Silencing the Saboteurs,” have helped others challenge and overcome their internal barriers.
Unofficially & simply: Communication and coaching changed my life. I want to share the freedom I have experienced with others.
My Philosophy
Core Beliefs
Let me be utterly upfront: My personal faith in God grounds me. If we spend time together, that will likely become evident. I thrive on authenticity so I’d rather share this fact openly. If you are NOT faith based, or of another faith, that is wonderful. It is completely irrelevant to the effectiveness of our working together. Remember, I have taught in secular institutions my entire career and the principles I espouse are true, inside and outside of faith. If you choose to bring faith into our interactions, I am entirely comfortable with that choice.
My coaching philosophy revolves around the profound impact of effective communication in positively transforming lives. I firmly believe that everything we do is driven by identity and that it is critical to get grounded in an affirming view of oneself. The ability to communicate clearly and confidently serves as a crucial skill that not only fosters understanding but also strengthens collaboration among individuals.
It is my mission to equip others with the tools to express themselves with clarity and effectiveness, ultimately enriching both their personal and professional relationships.

2006
Dr. Uhl received her doctorate in Communication Studies from Regent University in 2006 after completing her studies and successfully defending her dissertation. Her academic emphasis has long been focused upon the power of rhetoric and language in transforming social, political, and theological climates. She studied at Oxford Univeristy for her disseration research and thoroughly enjoyed the journey.
